             The 1994 American Donkey & Mule Society National show was held in 
            Dallas, Texas at the State Fair. It was the first show to be 
            sanctioned by NASMA and the first to every use the NASMA rules. 
            Pictured are the members of the Show Committee. Judges Larry Cook, 
            Marti Grimes, Lisa Avila and Dr. Suzy Burnham, DVM officiated. The 
            three day event included mules, gaited mules, donkeys and miniature 
            donkeys in 126 classes. In addition to paybacks and added money in 
            classes, premiums worth over $45,000 included Montana Silversmith 
            belt buckles, 4 saddles, custom chaps, custom show blankets, Ariat 
            boots, Justin boots, art work, driving carts, show driving bridles 
            and harness, a custom fitted saddle tree and more. Contestants had a 
            Texas BBQ Exhibitor party. NASMA’s very first meeting and officer 
            election was held at this show.  |
