Directors

Hello, my name is Sherri Pledger, of Wynadotte, Oklahoma. My husband Rick and I have been married for over 29 years. We have one son, Daniel who is currently serving in the U.S. Army. In October 2006 we gained a beautiful daughter-in-law, Stacy whom we love dearly. I have been employed for 15+ years at an oil and gas pipe company in Tulsa, where my primary duties include accounting, exporting and document submissions.

Rick and I grew up around horses, and I even remember riding my grandpa's big Percheron mules he had for farm work in Joplin, Missouri. But as life takes us in many different directions, we found ourselves city dwellers with only house dogs.

We moved to the country in 1998 after Rick's retirement from Ford Motor Co., and started collecting just about every type of farm animal you can think of. At some point Rick started searching the web about mules and donkeys and one day he said to me "I think I'm going to purchase a jack and make some mules". We purchased our first jack "Leon" in 2002. Now every free moment is spent on our equines, out on the trail making memories, working on the farm and loving every minute of it.

We stand our jacks to the public and started showing them to expose our outfit to the public and to prospective breeders. Our first taste of the show ring was in 2003 at the NASMA World Show in Oklahoma City and Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Now we show for the fun of it and to meet people that share the same passion and interests we have.

By serving on the Board of Directors, my hope and goal is to promote the organization, mules and donkeys in positive and professional manner; and to serve as a spokes person for the members in my zone. Any contribution or positive input to help promote the world of NASMA is kindly encouraged and welcomed, please fill free to contact me.

Thanks to all. . . and happy trails!
