Members: Betty Robinson, Skip Metheny and Cheryl Metheny, Chair What a fantastic year!
With a short fall looming at the time of awarding the scholarships
there was a great push from zone 5 to make sure that we had enough to
fund 2 scholarships.
We awarded scholarships to Kylee Francis and Tyler Richter.
At the Shelbyville show in July of '07 we had a 50/50 drawing that was
split with the youth group. It was funny to watch Candace Shauger and
myself run up and down the steps to sell tickets. This was a job for
the youth.
We also had a drawing at the All Star. The winning ticket was held by
Rick Hamilton (new member) and he gave his total winnings back to the
scholarship and youth.
The Golian's have donated a lovely saddle that we are raffling off and
will award in Shelbyville.
I can not give a total money in the Scholarship fund at this time
because my request of that amount has not been received.
