NASMA VTP
(Versatility Trail Program) |
December 2007 |
|
|
The program to promote the versatility of our saddle mules & donkeys,
from the show ring, work pen to trailriding. VTP gives NASMA something
to offer all longear enthusiasts! The following is a quick overview of
the happenings of VTP for 2007, starting with online entry and
tracking of your logged hours, although mailing them is still
available as well. A new VTP full color brochure was created, printed
and now being distributed nationwide, anyone wishing to receive a
brochure or would like to have them to distribute in your area, please
contact the VTP committee. Also keep up to date with VTP happenings by
visiting www.nasma.net, you can
view the newsletters, achievers for the month, VTP member stories and
pictures, National NASMA trailrides scheduled, follow up stories from
the trailrides and much, much more, be sure and visit the VTP sponsor
page, please patronize them when possible—with their support they
helped make the brochure possible without using NASMA funds! Don’t
forget to check out Mules and More each month for hour achievers, with
any story and picture submitted by the members, which we encourage
sending in your stories and pictures from your various trailriding
excursions anytime for publication to the website & magazine (thanks
goes out to Sue Cole for making this available to VTP)! Check out the
new list of ‘Hour Achievement Awards’, please feel free to send in
your ideas or comments for future awards! I am almost complete in
accumulating all the awards and will have every members starter
package/achievement level awards sent to them by the year end! Don’t
forget the “Recruitment Incentive” offered now thru the end of the
year, receive 2 hours log time for every person you recruit that joins
VTP in 2007! I have received contact by many members that are active
or becoming active again due to VTP up and moving forward, and I look
forward to seeing many new members in the future!!
In 2007, there were three National NASMA Trailrides hosted, all of
which were a great success and two of three are already scheduled for
2008! We hope to see the third and many more scheduled for 2008 as
well as the VTP committee hopes to host at least one trailride in MO
and one in IL for 2008! Anyone interested or knows of anyone
interested in hosting a trailride for 2008 please refer them to VTP,
we have banners for display and freebies for promotional items at the
rides, looking forward to sending the banners around the world in ’08!
Thanks so much to Sue King and Debbie Brewer for all your ideas and
website support, also to all the members that have supported me
throughout the year in my new position as VTP Chair and a special
thanks to my committee member, Cindi Slemp for her continuing help and
support!!
Please feel free to contact the VTP committee, Stacy Golian (vtp@nasma.net)
or Cindi Slemp (ssmules@aol.com),
anytime with your questions, suggestions or comments about VTP, and
remember keep up to date by visiting
www.nasma.net for all the latest in VTP happenings! Keep logging
those hours, ride safe and don’t forget to tell all your longear
loving, trailriding friends about NASMA VTP! From your VTP committee
