I just wanted to send a note.
I was privileged to be asked to judge the Ultimate Trail Ride Competition
sponsored by the Alabama Horse Council.
There were over 60 entries but since it filled so fast, they went to 70. I
understand they turned away about another seventy.
It was a well planned indoor event.
The most popular breeds were there, (Arabian, Quarter Horse, TWH, etc.)
I take trail judging seriously so we made sure there were no questions or
favoritism. We did not know any of the riders, nor did we talk to the entries
ahead of time.
I have to tell you there were very impressive entries.
There were only two perfect scores and the tie was broken by the best time.
The winner was a true crowd pleaser and was exceptional.
A mule won.
Often, (and as former mule owner and rider) mules do not get the recognition
they deserve.
I just thought you might want to consider doing an article on the winner mule
and rider. It was the Ultimate Trail Competition and judged by Best of America
by Horseback Television Show.
Although I had not planned to do this, I am going to make and pay for myself a
show on this entire event and air it on our show on RFD TV to nearly seven
million viewers. It was that good of an event.
