Tabitha Holland of Signature Equine in Morris, Oklahoma
represented NASMA at the 2009 Women and Horses Expo held
November 6, 7 and 8th at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Tabitha conducted two clinics on training mules and donkeys and was
also available in the trade show to answer questions and hand out
brochures on NASMA and the Versatility Trail Program.
Rock Point Thomas, a 4 year old Mammoth Gelding owned by Terry
Bates of Bloomfield MO, KC’s Surprise, a 4 year old john mule
and Luke, another john mule, Owned by Ken and Lisa Primm of Greenwood,
AR and Clydes Gallant Fox, a 2 year old mammoth jack owned by
Dwayne and Samantha Francis of Richards, MO were all available for the
public to view and were used in Tabitha’s clinics.
Tabitha also competed in the Rare Breeds Horse Show where she and KC’s
Surprise placed First in Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship and
English Equitation. The team also placed second in both Western and
English Walk Trot as well as English Pleasure and took third in Trail.
The show brought out a wide variety of breeds including Friesians,
Gypsy Vanners, Missouri Fox Trotters, Paso Finos, Andalusions, Quarter
Horses, Paints and even a Zorse.
Overall, people were very impressed with the mules and donkeys and got
to see up close what unique, companionable animals they are.
