The NASMA National Show, year end awards and annual meeting is
quickly approaching. If you have ever thought of a sponsorship or
volunteering to see this show to continue, now is the time. Your
Nat’l show committee is diligently working to bring you the best
show possible. Thank you, Sherri Pledger for the nice ads. You are a
genius at coming up with great awards, as well.
Returning to the National Show is the Silent Auction, with proceeds
going to the start-up fund for the 2013 show. Your donated treasures
make this fundraiser a lot of fun. Heck, it is a one-stop-shop for
Christmas, Anniversary, Birthday…. Please contact me if you have
items to donate, or if you are able to work the booth for an hour or
two during the show.

Folks, putting on these shows is an undertaking, to say the least.
If you like what you see – let them know. If there are things you
would like to see different – let them know, with kind and
productive input. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
Congratulations to Lori Montgomery and Willie for their 3rd place
finish at the 2012 Ohio Equine Affair “Versatile Horse and Rider
Competition” in Columbus in April! This pair won the event in 2008
and 2011, as well as the same competition in Cloverdale, Indiana in
2008. This is a timed and judged event through an obstacle course
created to test communication between horse and rider, horsemanship
skills and prowess. Lori and Willie were one of 30 preselected teams
to participate. Jumps, sidepassing obstacles, dragging a rope with
10 buckets tied to it, carrying a bucket of fish. Hmmm. Lori says
Willie handled it all with style. Some people really were born to
ride.
As always, my appreciation to the NASMA BOD, Officers and members
who are loyal and true to our objectives. We are fortunate to have
all of you!
