Dear
Fellow NASMA Members,
I hope this finds you well and preparing for summer fun with your
mules and donkeys. I am heading to Colorado to attend a John Lyons
training seminar with two of my mules. Then it is up to the mountains
with our guests.
This is a very optimistic and hopeful time for NASMA and its members.
The legal mess is over and the association can move forward with all
the plans and activities that will focus on the family of mule and
donkey lovers around the world. We have restored the foundation upon
which NASMA was founded and I am very confident you will find that
this is a fun organization again.
Future plans include a World Show, NASMA Youth awards banquet,
automated show points and VTP hours on our expanding web site, more
awards for our trail riders, and even some NASMA trail rides. The Rule
Book and By-Laws are already posted on the web and will be kept up to
date for your ready reference. Of course, we will still print the rule
book for those who do not have access to the internet or just want the
feel of the paper booklet.
We have a very dedicated group of Directors. Get to know each of your
zone directors and keep them informed of your ideas and thoughts so
that we can meet your needs. Elections for Directors in zones where
there are openings very soon. Watch the web site or your mail box for
election materials and the official ballot for your zone. Jim Selph is
the chair of the nomination committee and has received nominations
from many qualified and dedicated individuals who want only to make
sure you get the most out of your membership to NASMA.
You can contact your zone Directors easily using our web site or you
can direct mail to them at the NASMA office at PO Box 343, Boyd, TX
76023. We are still trying to get our records up to date so if you
have renewed your membership and we don’t have your correct membership
number, please contact the NASMA office or send an email to
NASMA@NASMA.net. We would love to hear from you so let us know
what you are doing and what NASMA can do for you.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of the NASMA family.
Best Wishes,
Tim Doud
