Summer is in full swing. I am sure most of
you are very busy trail riding or at the shows with your young or
experienced mules. If you are hitting the trails, be sure to keep
NASMA’s VTP committee informed. Stacy Golian would love to make your
next trail ride a NASMA VTP Ride. Stacy can be reached at
VTP@nasma.net. If you recently
completed a VTP ride, let us know. We would love to tell everyone
about your ride in the next President’s letter.
Upcoming Events
NASMA is also very busy this summer with shows and luncheons. In July,
NASMA will hold its’ annual Awards Luncheon. We will gather and
celebrate at the Great Celebration Mule Show in Shelbyville, TN. Be
sure to contact Nancy Davis @ 352-463-0418 or
highpointfarm@usa.net for
information and reservations.
August 2-5 is the date of the 2007 World Show and All Star Mule &
Donkey Show in Columbia, MO. These are two of the biggest shows for
NASMA members. Many of our finest competitors, both mule and riders,
congregate at the World Show to compete for the title of World
Champion. If you’ve never attended the World Show, there is no better
time than now. Bring your mules and donkeys and join the fun.
For NASMA members and officials, August 1 is the date of the 2007
Board of Directors meeting. This will be the time when your new
officers and directors will be elected. If you know of someone that
would make a good Board of Director, or if you would like to serve
yourself, contact Jim Joling, Nominating Committee chairman, at
nominatingcommittee@nasma.net.
Tell us about your mule and donkey filled Summer
NASMA is currently looking for stories of interest to mule and donkey
lovers. If you have a story idea, or would like to contribute an
interesting or informative mule or donkey story, please send them to
the NASMA office. Don’t hesitate to let us know about your own
accomplishments and with your mules and donkeys. NASMA loves to share
your stories with our members. Your story could be just what a fellow
mule and donkey lover is looking for.
Sincerely,
Tim Doud
